I bought this for my wife but I use it often. We both find it easy to use. It pulls out the corks while you hold onto the wine bottle to keep it from spinning. In other words one hand on the bottle and the other hand on the opener while the opener does the work. Once the cork is out you press the button and the cork is ejected from within the opener. I haven't counted how many bottles it opens before recharge but the battery seems to last!
