Honestly, I was worried this bar would come broken, late, and missing pieces. Thankfully I was wrong. I bought it even though it only had a 3 star rating. First off it’s a piece of furniture for $180. Don’t expect mahogany under there. However it’s more than sturdy enough to do its job.Pros:• After looking for 3 months, this was the best looking, functional bar for it’s price.• It is genuinely good looking.• Directions were easy to follow.• It came early!• I was able to put it together by myself even though the directions suggest 2 adults assemble it.• It is a true black, not espresso.• The windows are real glass.• You have options as to what height you want the shelves at.• It came with extra pieces just in case.Cons:• It can take up to 2 hours to assemble when you are alone. I personally did not mind.• If you want a bar to sit at with a stool keep in mind it’s height. It’s a really a wine rack/buffet. So it’s shorter than most bars. Not impossible for stools, just not ideal.• If you plan to put a handle of alcohol in there. You may have to give up on using all of the shelves. The height allows for a bottle at the bottom, 1 shelf and wine glasses. However if you don’t want it for that, than your golden. I only used 2 shelves out of the 4. I’m hoping to turn the other 2 into a flip top for it.My advice buy it, be happy with how pretty it displays and functions. Use an electric screwdriver slowly instead of a manual Phillips screwdriver. Take the tape off of the BACK board before you screw it on. It took some elbow grease and a wet sponge.Lastly - If you are by yourself, a few books can be used to prop the doors up while your trying to manually screw the door hinges on.
